Keihin carb identification
I'm looking at buying this carburetor second hand, and the seller doesn't know the exact model. It's supposedly taken from a Yamaha WR400F, which has the Keihin FCR 39mm carburetor from the factory. But looking at images online, there seem to be vast differences between the models.Feb 28, 2007 · According to the service manual they are indeed the Keihin CVKD 40 (x4). Because OEMs have enough power to dictate their exact specifications to smaller, specialized manufacturers like Keihin, I would inquire with the seller exactly which bike AND YEAR these carburetors came from. "Similar" may not be close enough, nor size.

If it was a genuine kehin the pwk and numbers would be stamped on carb body above float bowl surface. Some of those knock off carburetors can be tuned to run decent, but not very often.
